Welcome to Smidt Tech High School – The Pride of Lincoln Heights!

For the past 10 years, Smidt Tech has been shaping the future tech leaders of Los Angeles. We have proudly served thousands of students, with nearly 1,000 graduates earning their high school diplomas. Last year, 84% of our graduating class was accepted into a four-year college or university.

Smidt Tech has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best High Schools in America for five consecutive years, ranking in the top 20% nationwide. As a leader in educational equity across Los Angeles County, our mission extends beyond graduation. We strive to develop lifelong learners who communicate effectively, think innovatively, and contribute responsibly to their communities.

Our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the future. In addition to the academic courses required for graduation, we offer college-credit classes in robotics and engineering. Students also have access to a variety of elective courses, including digital arts, filmmaking, and business, as well as extracurricular activities such as CIF athletics. Clubs like Esports, anime, and environmental awareness provide spaces for students to explore their passions and build meaningful connections.

As a first-generation college graduate who emigrated from Mexico as a child, I know firsthand the power of education. Thanks to the support of my teachers and school administrators, I became the first in my family to earn a bachelor’s and later a master’s degree. Those opportunities shaped my future, and I want the same for your children—and my own. I am proud to share that my son is currently a Smidt Tech student because I believe in the exceptional teachers, counselors, and staff who make this school a place where all students can thrive.
