Community School Smidt Tech High is from the community, for the community. We partner with local organizations like the City District #1, the Boys and Girls Club, and Audubon Center at Debs Park to enhance the student experience. Our teachers and students have even received congressional recognition! Smidt Tech students also learn to give back, with multiple community service opportunities.
Academic Excellence Our program includes AP and Dual Enrollment opportunities. With 12 AP courses and college courses like Intro to Business, this gives students a head start in higher education. Over 60% of our scholars also play varsity sports, finding a balance between scholarship and academics.
