Hello! I’m Esmeralda Carranza, ELD teacher and coordinator at Smidt Tech.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching our grey wolves for the past 8 years and of directly supporting our English Learners as coordinator for the past 3 years. 

As a former ELD student, I am aware firsthand of the challenges our English learners face and of the support required in order to ensure that we are providing equitable access to them. 

A fun fact about me is that I love reggaeton as much as some of my students do!
