At Smidt Tech High, we believe that a structured and supportive environment sets the foundation for academic success.
Our school policies—covering areas like dress code, cell phone use, and expectations for student conduct—are designed to foster a focused, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere.
By maintaining high standards, we ensure that all scholars can thrive academically and develop the skills they need for future success.
We appreciate our students and families partnering with us in upholding these expectations to create a strong and supportive Wolf Pack community.
Cell Phone Policy
Smidt Tech Phone Policy
To support a focused and distraction-free learning environment, students must keep their phones on airplane mode and stored in their backpacks during class.
If a student takes out or uses their phone during class:
- 1. They will receive a reminder to put it away.
- 2. On the second time, their phone will be placed in a secure Yondr pouch for the rest of the class period.
At the end of the period/block, an administrator will unlock the pouches so students can retrieve their phones and have another chance to follow expectations.
Repeated phone violations will be addressed at the administrative level and may result in the student being required to turn in their phone to the front office at the start of each school day.
Thank you for helping us create a focused and productive learning environment!
